.the rainbow state.

Didn't really know how to start this post, so I started with a photo with a rainbow in it, but watch out! There's gonna be a bombardment of photos from my  trip to Hawaii 3 months back. I don't know if I can say that this was the best trip of my life because it kinda ties with my diving trip to the Philippines and Palau 3 years ago.

That's me in my Burger King Crown from lunch before I proceeded to the most breathtaking view of any type of canyons I've ever seen.

I swear on my life that this photo does NOT do the actual view justice. When I got there, I kinda just stood there in awe of silence for a good 2 minutes and even though there were a bunch of other tourists, it was so peaceful and serene so I'm guessing they felt the same. Even when it was time to go, I felt like I couldn't get enough of it.

Its not called the rainbow state for nothing. Everyday I saw at least one rainbow. Even the local bank's logo had a rainbow. Never did realise how the sighting of a rainbow could lift one's spirits so immensely.

A truckload of Hawaii's famous pineapples spotted at a scenic lookout. Kinda reminded me of the movie "50 First Dates".

Dancing The Wonder Girls' "Nobody" by the hotel pool. If you don't know the song, youtube it and you'll know instantly which part of the dance I'm at.

Nothing beats having an ice cold beer in a hot jacuzzi pool while looking out an an amazing view of the ocean.

I went on an epic 6 hour hike to see a waterfall crashing down from the heavens. Some people didn't make it all the way coz it was a pretty tough hike towards the end. There weren't any proper trails halfway through and if we weren't prepared for it we wouldn't have made it too. We had bottles and bottles of water and energy drinks to stay hydrated. We packed a burger lunch and some energy bars, hiking poles, and sunblock because the sun was KILLER. It was definitely worth the hike even if we didn't make it all the way to the top because the view on the way there was just stunning. I'll let the pictures speak for itself but trust me, nothing like the real thing.

Jumping into the ice cold water when we got there was a definite highlight of the hike. Instant cool off. Um.. I also did a pee pee in there because I thought, well, nobody's gonna drink from this. On the way back down, I saw a hiker fill his water bottle from the little stream that flowed from from the top. :( I felt really bad but then when i told one of the locals about it, he said I probably wasn't the only one who did that and the water's nasty anyway because lots of animals live there, and sometimes you find dead carcasses floating in the water so best not to drink from it. I didn't feel so bad anymore.

Surprisingly still alive at dinner after the hike, alive enough to take a picture with Hula Girls that have won Hula competitions! They're all really good!

Epic trip.
